đź“– WHAT IS HARRIET TUBMAN DAY? WHY DOES IT MATTER?

Harriet Tubman Day (March 10) is more than a date on the calendar—it is a living tradition, a movement holiday, and a sacred day of remembrance and action.

For over a decade, we have organized, mobilized, and elevated Harriet Tubman Day as a national holiday among Black women—honoring our hero, reclaiming her legacy, and walking in her footsteps.

It is the official kickoff of our Membership Meeting—a day where we gather to learn, to teach, and to move in the direction of our own liberation.

📢 AT THE MEMBERSHIP MEETING: THE SEVEN-POINT JOY & JUSTICE AGENDA

Every movement has a blueprint. The Black Panther Party had the 10-Point Program. The Poor People’s Campaign had the Economic Bill of Rights. The Underground Railroad had its Northstar. This is ours.

At the Membership Meeting, we will unveil the Seven-Point Joy & Justice Agenda—a framework for how we move forward.

📢 AT THE MEMBERSHIP MEETING: SPRING TRAINING

In addition to learning about the Seven-Point Joy & Justice Agenda, you will also be introduced to Spring Training.

What is Spring Training?

Spring Training is a 10-week invitation to strengthen our bodies, our minds, and our commitment to movement-building. If winter slowed you down, if the weight of the world has been heavy, if you are ready to activate your 2025 vision—this is your moment.

đź“– WHO WE ARE: WHERE THIS MEMO COMES FROM

It started with two friends walking together and has grown into a global network of Black women, reclaiming our health and our power, one step at a time.

Our physical headquarters is in Montgomery, Alabama—at Bricklayers Hall, a historic site in the fight for freedom.

Our virtual headquarters is everywhere Black women walk together.

This Movement Memo is written for you, by us, and with love.
